This Host Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms under which you ("Host") may list your gym space on the GymNextDoor platform. This Agreement forms part of the wider Platform Terms & Conditions, which also apply to you as a registered user.
By creating a Listing on GymNextDoor, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
To list a gym space on GymNextDoor you must:
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your Listing. Your Listing must:
GymNextDoor reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any Listing that does not meet our quality standards or violates these terms. We may contact you to request improvements before a Listing goes live.
As a Host, you are responsible for ensuring your gym space is safe for use by third parties. At a minimum your space must:
You must keep Renters informed of any changes to the space, equipment, or access arrangements that may affect their session. If your space becomes temporarily unsafe or unavailable, you must update your availability calendar immediately and notify any affected Renters.
You are strongly advised to hold appropriate public liability insurance covering commercial use of your property before accepting any bookings. This should cover injury to third parties and damage to third-party property arising from use of your gym space.
Standard home insurance policies typically do not cover commercial activities. You should check your existing policy and obtain specialist cover where necessary.
GymNextDoor does not currently provide Host insurance as part of the platform. Platform-level insurance cover is under consideration for a future update.
GymNextDoor accepts no liability for claims arising from inadequate Host insurance cover.
You are responsible for providing Renters with clear, reliable access to your space for their confirmed session. We strongly recommend the use of a smart lock, key safe, or keyless entry system to facilitate smooth access without requiring your physical presence.
Access credentials (codes, key safe locations, app instructions) must be shared with confirmed Renters in advance of their session, and must be changed between bookings where the same code is used.
You must not require a Renter to interact with you in person as a condition of access unless this has been agreed in advance and disclosed in your Listing.
As a Host you agree to:
You set your own session pricing within the guidelines provided on the Platform. GymNextDoor will deduct its Service Fee from each booking before paying out the remainder to your connected Stripe account.
Payouts are processed via Stripe and are subject to Stripe's standard payout schedule and terms. You are responsible for ensuring your Stripe account is correctly configured to receive payouts.
You are responsible for declaring income received through GymNextDoor to HMRC and paying any applicable income tax or National Insurance contributions. GymNextDoor does not provide tax advice.
If a Renter causes damage to your property or equipment during a session, you should document this with photographs and report it to GymNextDoor at hello@gymnextdoor.co.uk within 24 hours of the session end time.
GymNextDoor will endeavour to assist with dispute resolution between Hosts and Renters but is not responsible for compensating Hosts for damage caused by Renters. Any claim against a Renter must be pursued through appropriate legal channels.
A Host protection or damage deposit scheme is under consideration for a future platform update.
GymNextDoor reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any Host from the Platform for breach of this Agreement, repeated cancellations, safety concerns, or conduct that damages the reputation of the Platform or harms other users.
You may close your Host account at any time by contacting us, provided there are no outstanding confirmed bookings. Outstanding bookings must be honoured or cancelled with full refunds to Renters before account closure.
